While the 120-volt electric outlet charger that comes standard with most plug-in all-electric and plug-in hybrid EVs provides 2 to 5 miles of range per hour, a Level 2 charger works up to 2-4 times faster - giving you 10 to 20 miles of range per charging hour.
Some chargers are Wi-Fi enabled, most of these come with a downloadable phone app that allows you to conveniently program and remotely control your charging. This also helps you take advantage of off-peak cost savings. All Level 2 chargers available from our store are Wi-Fi enabled.
Level 2 (240 volt) chargers must be professionally installed. The age of your home, your electrical panel capacity (and where it is located), can affect the final cost of putting an electric vehicle charger in your home. When you purchase your home charger from our marketplace, you will automatically be scheduled for professional installation as part of the checkout process.
